One thing is clear anyway: both Democrats and Republicans want to continue the War in Iraq.
Otherwise, how could they do this.
(Source The Nation.) "The Senate agreed on Thursday to increase the federal debt limit by $850 billion -- from $8.965 trillion to $9.815 trillion -- and then proceeded to approve a stop-gap spending bill that gives the Bush White House at least $9 billion in new funding for its war in Iraq."
As far as I'm concerned, their words be damned. What I mean is this.
If a congressman--some of whom are women--voted for continuing this war in Iraq, but they continue to say they are against this war; well then, there is only one proper theological response. Their words be damned. Their words can be and are damning; their actions damn them.
Hat tip Outrageous, but Hopeful Asininity.
