Trial of the Witnesses of the Ressurection of Jesus.
Thomas Sherlock wrote a great book. Here's an excerpt.
"The alterations which have happened in the doctrines and practices of churches, since the Christian religion was settled by those who had an authentick commission to settle it, are quite out of the question, when the inquiry is about the truth of the Christian religion.
Christ and his Apostles did not vouch for the truth of all that should be taught in the church in future times; nay, they foretold and fore warned the world against such corrupt teachers.
It is therefore absurd to challenge the religion of Christ, because of the corruptions which have spread among Christians. The gospel has no more concern with them, and ought no more to be charged with them, than with the doctrines of the Alcoran."

God responds to Dutch Study: Like lying, Lesbianism is still a sin.
A Dutch study concludes that "children raised by lesbian couples are as well-adjusted as those raised in heterosexual families." God weighs in.
"Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion." (Romans 1:26,27 NIV)
Of course, there is ALWAYS an escape clause.

"Those damn heterosexuals. What is to become of us?" Or, 'This one's for you "Jeb".'
"Those damn heterosexuals. What is to become of us?"
This comment/question was recently posed to me by a friend I like to call Jeb. And other than the fact that there is really no context given, so that I cannot address specifically what he was saying, Jeb does bring up a very interesting philosophical/theological point.
It seems the hetero's are damning us; society that is. With this point I heartily agree. Heterosexual's, and not just the Christians, are damning society as we know it.
We are ignoring God's Law. We are acting towards one another as if we should not really answer to our Creator when once we have died.
Just this evening, I acted in a decidedly uncivil manner toward my wife. Remember now, this is the woman I love. This is the woman I have vowed to stand beside "in sickness and in health." This is the woman who has given me my five children. And yet, contrary to all of scripture, I treated her--not as I love myself--but as if I could not care less whether my prayers are heard or not.
But on to the question. "What is to become of us?"
Well in this situation, Jeb, what will become of me? I'll tell you. I decided to obey God and seek my wife's forgiveness. To this end, I have written her a letter of apology.
As for society and what will become of it: that question is easily answered. The damning actions of heterosexuals--not excepting homosexuals, of course: for we all share in the brotherhood of humanity--these actions will bring the damnation by fire that is promised.

Abortion, "Gay Marriage," and the Ten Commandments.
I was stunned to learn today that abortion, "Gay Marriage," and the Ten Commandments are being used to "garner votes." Of course, this was even more stunning, for obvious reasons. But that is beside the point.
What is to the point is this.
That a politician wants to garner any vote, much less my vote, is irrelevant.
That some people--ahem, Mr. James--seem to believe family values are "defined by our families, is absurd. It's like saying that cowboys developed their highly romantic "cowboy-ish philosophies" because they lived out west. And just what the heck are family values anyway? Oh, that's right. Family values is only a buzzword.
"Buzzwords are typically intended to impress one's audience with the pretense of knowledge. For this reason, they are often universal. They typically make sentences difficult to dispute, on account of their cloudy meaning." (Link; Emphasis Mine.)
Well, that clears that up. Let's rephrase a quote from Mr. James now, shall we?
"Ourfamily values(updated text) sasdnvxcuoweyzzdd are defined by our families, not by our political leaders. Unfortunately for all of us, certain politicians have made abortion, gay marriage, and the Ten Commandments political footballs -doing injustice to how we should deal with these issues. These issues are being used to garner votes..." (Link)
Abortion is not a political issue. It is, as I have said, a matter of life and death.
"Gay Marriage" is not a political issue. Like lying, sodomy, homosexuality, or being gay is only an abomination. (Homosexuality=Lev. 18:22; Lying=Prov. 12:22)
The Ten Commandments themselves, are not a political issue. The historicity of their place in American Society is undeniable; although now, it is true, they have lost much of their former significance.
Jobs, education, and security; these things mean nothing without morality. And it is the height of either stupidity, or wickedness to pretend otherwise.

Healthy Living, the New Righteousness.
What is there in society today that makes us believe that healthful living is somehow a good thing? For the purposes of clarification, the question may be put in this way.
“Why should living a healthy lifestyle add anything to one’s goodness?” Better still, “Is a healthy person more righteous than an unhealthy person?”
There are some who contend that by carefully eating what is good for the body, and not damaging to it, one is somehow fulfilling a supposed scriptural commission in regards to what is clearly shown to be the “temple of God.” But perhaps I should have said ‘by eating what is least damaging,’ for on this planet there is not one thing that is completely suited to the needs of our bodies, else we should have no need of plumbers and plumbing. Also, the word ‘good’ must be defined. I here mean ‘righteous.’
This contention, that we should eat healthy, is, as I have said, believed to be the fulfilling of a scriptural injunction. The very first question, then, is, or should be, this: is it? That is, is there a command in the Bible—excluding the apocrypha, which I disallow of as being divinely inspired—but in the Bible, is there a command to live healthy?
I contend that there is not.
