"Profit [sic] of Doom."
They mean, of course, Mr. Gore.
"PSYCHIATRISTS have detected the first case of "climate change delusion"..."(Andrew Bolt, from the Herald Sun.)
It's about time somebody called it what it is: A DELUSION. But that's not the worst of it.
"And here is a senior Sydney Morning Herald journalist aghast at the horrors described in the report on global warming released on Friday by Rudd's guru, Professor Ross Garnaut: "Australians must pay more for petrol, food and energy or ultimately face a rising death toll . . ."Wow. Pay more for food or die. Is that Rudd's next campaign slogan?
Of course, we can laugh at this -- and must -- but the price for such folly may soon be your job, or at least your cash."
(IBID.)
Heck, that won't happen to us...right?!

"All Hail The Sun God!"
"All hail Gore the Sun God, He's a real smart God, Blah Blah Blah!"
And while I find the sarcasm quite amusing, the article itself is much better.
"A new paper published by the Astronomical Society of Australia is warning of upcoming global cooling due to lessened solar activity."(Originally found here.)
I guess my next problem will be: Is he Surya, Sol Invictus, Ra, or Koalemos?
Choices, choices.

Why I do not support "Earth Day."
Other than the obvious answer, "'cause it's silly," my reasons are as follows.
1. Because the philosophy inherent to earth day is in error.
1a. Because God commanded men to have dominion* over the earth, not "preserve" it.
--*Gen. 1:28
"subdue": kaw-bash' A primitive root; to tread down; hence negatively to disregard; positively to conquer, subjugate, violate: - bring into bondage, force, keep under, subdue, bring into subjection.
"dominion": raw-daw' A primitive root; to tread down, that is, subjugate; specifically to crumble off: - (come to, make to) have dominion, prevail against, reign, (bear, make to) rule, (-r, over), take.)
2. Because the Earth was made specifically for man, Ps. 115:16; though God owns it and the people on it.
4. Because mankind cannot control the earth, ie: environment, only God does. (Ps. 65:9.)
Do not mistake my meaning. Christians are to be good stewards. Earth day, by going beyond that, becomes silliness at best and heresy at the worst. You can read how Earth day goes beyond it here.
UPDATE:
Here's another great post about earth day.

Just one more proof to reprove "Global Warming" zealotry.
"Global warming 55 million years ago suggests a high climate sensitivity to carbon dioxide, according to research led by Mark Pagani, associate professor of geology and geophysics at Yale and published in the December 8 issue of Science."
(Emphasis Mine, Source.)
Why don't you believe in "global warming?" you ask. Here's why. What cannot have happened 55 million years ago, cannot suggest anything.
Oh, I believe in factual global warming. I'm dang certain the earth is gonna get hotter. Nearly hot as hell. And soon.
It just ain't gonna happen how or why everybody thinks it is.
*HT to True Anomaly for making me remember.
UPDATE:
LOL! Apparently I must still believe the earth is flat. I am part of a "tiny, tiny minority." It's irrelevant, I suppose, that a minority like this hasn't existed since about 3 B.C.**
**My apologies to readers outside of Tennessee; if any. We are not all as confused as our former Vice President.

A few changes; Or, "Going green."
A few changes and updates.
The changes should be apparent.
The primary update is a list of books for 2008.

Co-op America's National "Green Pages."
Found the National Green Pages site here.
Money quote?
"The nation's only directory of screened and approved green businesses."
(Top of browser)
But one certainly wonders: Who screens the screeners? Who approves the approvers?
